Monterey Bay Whale Watch offers year-round whale watching trips to observe the spectacular diversity and abundance of whales and dolphins inhabiting the Bay. Monterey is the best place in the nation to view a variety of marine mammals and seabirds.

Depending on the season, whales and dolphins that are frequently observed include Gray Whales, Humpback Whales, Blue Whales, Pacific White-Sided Dolphins, Risso’s Dolphins, Northern Right Whale Dolphins, Common Dolphins, Killer Whales, and Dall’s Porpoise.

Cost: Adults $40, Children 4 to 12 $27, Children 3 and under $15.
Trips start Saturday, December 12, 2015 and run through Thursday, March 31, 2016.
Daily trips, 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Also 7 a.m. breakfast trips on some Saturdays. There are no trips on Christmas day (December 25).

Late Spring, Summer and Fall Whale Watch – April through mid-December

Humpback Whales, Blue Whales, Dolphins, Killer Whales

All-day Whale Watch trips:

Scheduled on selected days in April and May (See schedule for dates)
Departing at 8 a.m. and returning late afternoon or evening.
Cost for all-day trips: $110 per person.
Children under age 12 not allowed.

Morning trips:

4 to 5 hour trips every day except Thanksgiving
Departing at 9 a.m. and returning between 1 and 2 p.m.
Cost for morning trips: Adults $49, children 4 to 12 $39, children 3 and under $15 each.
Morning trips are scheduled every day from Tuesday, April 1 through Friday, December 11, 2015 except for Thanksgiving day.

Afternoon trips:

3 to 4 hour afternoon trips every day except Thanksgiving from April 1 to Nov. 30 and weekends from Dec. 1 through Dec. 11, 2015.
Trips depart at 2 p.m. and return between 5 and 6 p.m.
Cost for afternoon trips: Adults $41, children 4 to 12 $29, children 3 and under $15 each.

Evening trips:

3 hour evening trips may be scheduled on weekends during part of the season. Check schedule for dates.
Evening trips depart at 5:30 p.m. and return at approximately 8:30 p.m.
Cost for evening trips: Adults $41, children 4 to 12 $29, children 3 and under $15 each.
