Events in Monterey Bay this September that You Shouldn’t Miss

It’s the ninth month and it is very exciting to end the third quarter in Monterey Bay with fantastic events and festivals. Here are some of the picked events and festivals that you should not miss.

Monterey Bay Greek Festival

This festival has been established and maintained for 30 years now. The festival aims to serve Greek culture along with authentic cuisines, wine and pastries. Everyone is free to join as a vendor where you can display your products or services during the festival. Selling authentic Greek items or using a Greek theme in your display is an opportunity for excellent marketing. Volunteers are also welcome in the festival where they can earn community service credit. 29th Annual Greek Festival by the Monterey Bay will be held on Labor Day Weekend, September 5, 6, & 7, 2015 at the Monterey Custom House Plaza near the Monterey Fisherman’s Wharf. Monterey Country Fair

This annual country fair is another must-see event in Monterey scheduled this Labor Day Weekend.  It is composed of exhibits and junior livestock auction, special contest, concerts and fair shopping booths. Monterey Country Fair will be held at 2004 Fairgrounds Rd , Monterey, CA 93940 recurring daily from September 2-7. Festa Italia

This year’s festival is the 82nd Annual Santa Rosalia Fishermann’s Festival. Italian food, drinks and entertainment will be celebrated. This year’s 3-day festival will take place from September 11th – 13th, 2015 at the Custom House Plaza in downtown Monterey. This is a free admission festival so why don’t you bring your family and friends and celebrate Italian heritage and culture with them.

Hours: Friday, Sept. 11: 3:00pm – 10:00pm; Saturday, Sept. 12: 9:00am – 10:00pm; Sunday, Sept. 13: 9:00am – 6:00pm

Bird Watching Tour – Asilomar Birds and Their Habitat Homes

Discover the approximately 60 different bird species of Asimolar State Beach and Conference Grounds. This is also a great way to relax and appreciate the gift of nature. Bird watching tour was started last August 5, 2015 and recurring weekly on Wednesday till September 30. Admission is free!
